Are you going to be nice today?
Now remember, what we agreed:
No calling names.
Have a good day dear.
This is what I overheard a woman telling her obviously successful husband as she dropped him off for work at one of our major downtown office buildings today.
Or maybe it was what I heard a mother tell her pre-school-age daughter when I was in line behind them at Starbucks.
I can't remember.
A good review to start the day in either case though.
Reminds me of a story I heard the author and organizational philosopher Meg Wheatley tell once about a grade school that operated with only three rules:
Take care of yourself.
Take care of each other.
Take care of this place.
Now if all of us adults could just get on that clue bus, I might be able to work my way out of a job.
