The most recent Ann Coulter controversy has reminded me once again of people who confuse sensationalism with success.

It's easy to say outrageous things only to disappoint people once you've garnered their attention and they quick learn you have nothing remarkable to share.

It's much more challenging to be consistently remarkable and patiently cultivate people's attention until they learn how sensational your efforts really are.
