The Realities Time Replaces

I haven't worked a minimum-wage job since 1980.

I haven't been a renter for the past 15 years.

I last supervised a full-time staff more than a decade ago.

2001 was when I last spent significant time exploring Seattle.

So do my memories of the way it was for each of these circumstances have anything to do with the way it is now and the way it will be in the future?

The present often calls on us to offer observations, make decisions, and share opinions. In doing so, we would be wise to remember the limited shelf-life of our insight and understanding and not assume our past recollection matches current reality.
