The One Rule for Public Speaking Success

It is really quite simple:

If you care about the topic and know something about it, speak on it.

Do so and we'll probably forgive if your slides aren't the best or if your session format isn't interactive enough.

But it will be difficult to forget if you lack passion in your tone or substance in your content.

Excellent advice. Also--be sure it's something your audience cares about.

Good advice, Jeffrey. I'd add, "speak about it, don't read to us about it."
